The Smartest Giant in Town

We have been reading all about George, the smartest giant in town!

The author of this book is Julia Donaldson. She wrote other books that we love such as The Gruffalo and Monkey Puzzle :)

Spring has Sprung :)

 A little seed for me to sow...

A little earth to make it grow...

A little hole, A little pat...

Our cherry blossom tree paintings really brightened up our room!

Working as Historians..

 Today we were very busy working as historians (people who find out about the past)!

We had to search our sand tray for evidence very carefully using spoons and brushes.

We found lots of evidence!

We recorded our evidence...and think there might have been a birthday party that we weren't invited to :O

 Maybe we will have to have our own party on Friday instead!

Grandparent's Day

Thank you so much to all the grandparents who came to visit us on Grandparent's Day! We are very lucky to have you! It was a lot of laughs! Love Room 6 x

We even did a little drama about our big book 'We're Going on a Bearhunt' for our lovely audience!

Food Glorious Food...

To finish up a great month of play in our restaurant we swapped the playdough, sand and plastic food for the real deal! 

We began with a writing activity - How to make a Jam Sandwich! Mammies and Daddies make sure you get your little chefs into the kitchen because they make tasty treats! :)

Then came the best bit - we followed our plan, buttered bread, spread jam...

...and gobbled up some sticky jam sandwiches!
